Popular Nigerian entertainer and social media influencer, Tunde Ednut, has officially become a citizen of the United States. But that’s not the only reason he’s making headlines — Tunde has also received the prestigious President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the highest honors in the U.S. for community service.
The award, which was signed by former President Joe Biden, recognizes individuals who have dedicated over 4,000 hours of volunteer service to their communities. Tunde shared the exciting news with his fans via Instagram, posting a photo of his American passport alongside his award plaque.
The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award was established by President George W. Bush to honor individuals who demonstrate a lifelong commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement. Being a recipient means Tunde’s influence extends far beyond social media — he’s now officially recognized for his efforts in impacting lives and uplifting communities.
Earlier this year, Tunde was also honored by Prince George’s County in Maryland, USA — the most populous Black county in the country. He received a Certificate of Recognition for his advocacy for justice, dedication to giving marginalized voices a platform, and efforts to address important issues facing the African diaspora.
