A 21-year-old Nigerian woman has sparked massive reactions across social media after disclosing that she earns over ₦10 million monthly through adult content creation.
The young woman, whose identity remains anonymous, shared her story in a recent edition of Zikoko’s #NairaLife series. According to her, her journey into adult content began unexpectedly after her private videos were leaked without her consent. Rather than retreat in shame, she decided to take control of her narrative—signing a promotional deal with a subscription-based platform.
In her first week, she reportedly made ₦1 million. Within a month, her earnings exceeded ₦10 million, largely due to custom content requests priced at ₦100,000 and above.
The revelation has generated widespread buzz, with many Nigerians debating the implications of such a career path. While some have praised her for turning a traumatic experience into a source of income, others have condemned the act, citing moral and societal concerns.
Despite the backlash, the young woman says she’s focused on using her income for self-development. She revealed that she paid ₦3.5 million for an apartment and another ₦2.5 million for a year-long fashion design course. However, she admitted that her decision has strained relationships with family members.
Her story reflects a growing trend in Nigeria’s digital economy, where a number of young creators are exploring platforms like OnlyFans and local alternatives. One such platform, AllAccessFans, claims to have paid over ₦1.2 billion to Nigerian content creators within its first year. Another Nigerian creator, known as Lola, reportedly earned over ₦30 million in a single year through the platform.
