"I'm worried that the porn industry destroys relationships between women and men." - GenZ Buzz

“I’m worried that the porn industry destroys relationships between women and men.”

Fashion is usually nourished by personal experiences. It is, with subtlety and transparency, that Tamara Falcó (Madrid, 1981) decided to share his own through his new proposal. For this spring-summer 2024, The Marchioness of Griñón developed a line inspired by her honeymoonin collaboration with Nacho Aguayo, creative director of the women’s lines of Pedro del Hierro, flagship brand of the Tendam group.

It was at Casa Salesas, her husband’s restaurant, Íñigo Onieva, that she presented her new collection, as intimate as it was elegant. True to its style, it includes perfect silhouettes for summer nights.. His proposal, designed in Spain, It consists of three lines: Honeymoon, Blowing in and Endless Summer.

For the presentation, Tamara Falcó wore the model Lemonade from the collection Endless Summer: This outfit It is one of my favorites from this new collection, a perfect model for any daytime event on these hot summer days. Pastel tones are my weakness and total look I love two pieces. This look has accompanied me in several moments of my honeymoon in the African savanna and at the same time elegant, it is versatile and comfortable,” declared the marchioness.

honeymoonthe first entry of the season, is made up, on the one hand, of a selection of garments designed for the day and, on the other hand, a proposal of looks for the evening.

The daytime includes safari style pieces Inspired by the African savanna with fabrics such as cotton in key garments such as the khaki safari jacket, the trench coat with batwing sleeves, the tailored suit, pleated pants or embroidered shirts. There is also prominence of the poplin fabric with embroidery and a total look of shirt and skirt.

The second, more oriented towards the most nocturnal moments, stands out for its prints inspired by ethical motifs from the Indian Ocean islands. Among them, you can find a wide variety of dress silhouettes, such as long lengths with ethnic prints and asymmetrical necklines, printed all over with a contrasting belt in black taffeta and, finally, with a neckline off shoulders and a green print with a black taffeta belt.

As a key piece, the dress with a floaty cape stands out for any special event.

We take advantage of this launch to talk with Tamara Falcó about his vision of fashion and his life, a focus of interest both nationally and internationally.

How would you define this collection? How is it different from the previous ones?

This collection is very personal. It doesn’t mean that the others haven’t been, but, obviously, since it is a tribute to my honeymoon, it is more intimate. I remember the vibrant colors from the trip most of all. They are very reflected in the collection.

How do you work with Nacho Aguayo? What have you learned from him?

He is an eminence in the world of fashion. When we are working, he gives the touch of genius. He is a renowned designer, but he never makes you feel less and that is appreciated. I learn a lot from him. Not only at a fashion level, but also as a person. Everything comes naturally to him, he has a lot of tact. And he is a constant support.

What is your capsule wardrobe? What do you always take on a trip?

For me it is very important to wear jeans and pants that I can wear with sneakers or heels. I always try to wear a jacket and clothes that don’t wrinkle, because I can never iron. I have a portable iron, but I never see the time to turn it on (laughs).

I always try to wear a skirt to go out to dinner and a small heel in case I have to be more dressed up, a white t-shirt because it is very useful, and nightgowns, I like to change them every day. After a hard day, feeling the cotton, clean… gives me an immense feeling of well-being.

Do you feel that you have a responsibility as an ambassador of the Spain brand in the world?

Zero pressure. Balenciaga left Spain in a good place, yes, perhaps we would need to leave the borders a little more. Tendam and Pedro del Hierro are fashion references. There are Spanish companies that dress a large part of the planet. As an ambassador, I am, therefore, tiny.

I always like to go out and be dressed up, yes. Sometimes people are surprised, they ask me if I am Spanish. Since I studied in the United States, I speak English… even so, I think that something Spanish is always perceived in my way of being.

Who is the Tamara that no one sees?

I am quite transparent. Obviously, I keep things to myself, but I couldn’t say who the Tamara that no one sees is.

How would you say you have changed in recent years?

I wouldn’t say I’ve changed, but I do think I’ve learned to have a better balance. When I won MasterChef, my career skyrocketed, I was in a whirlwind. In fact, my personal agenda was linked to my work one, I had no days. I met Íñigo because a friend introduced me, he celebrated his birthday in January and he told me in September of the previous year.

On a physical level, I didn’t feel very well and I took a microbiota test. My values were skyrocketing and I realized that I needed a life change, because it was the perfect place for diseases to flourish.

I started making changes: I organized my calendar, separated staff, left blank spaces, and set boundaries, even with family. For example, Íñigo and I decided to spend Saturday with his mother or mine, and Sunday with another. We realized that we didn’t have time, because we arrived on Sunday night devastated. So, feeling very sorry, we chose to alternate: one Sunday with one mother, another Sunday with another. We love being with them, but it is also important to have our moment as a couple and take care of it.

The most important thing in life is to set your priorities and give importance to the people who have them, which are usually family and friends. You show it with time and love. They are the two key values that I began to promote. My work is also very relevant. I wouldn’t feel fulfilled if it weren’t like that. But I also try, when I’m with my nephews, to leave my cell phone behind, for example.

Fashion, gastronomy, television… can you resist anything?

I have a theory: you have to find something you like and, from there, dedicate all your effort to it. If you are excited, it is much easier to do it. Even if it’s something you don’t like, with repetition, it’s practically impossible not to get it right. Maybe I wasn’t the best cook, but it’s a matter of practice and repetition. Nobody is born knowing.

How do you deal with media overexposure?

I try to find balance. I know I arouse interest, but I try not to let the noise get into my daily life. Obviously, sometimes it is inevitable, I get news or a friend sends it to me. But if they are negative things, my environment has already been warned. Sometimes I don’t even answer my phone, everyone complains (laughs). I take great care of this balance, I try to dedicate some time to rest from outside noise.

How would you define your relationship with your mother? What do you think he has inherited from her?

We have a very close relationship. My mother has always been a very strong woman, she has instilled values in us and she has always been behind us to make us better people.

Of course, the relationship is evolving, now I see my mother as an adult. When you are little or a teenager… it is different. She has one opinion, I have another, sometimes they agree, sometimes they don’t.

In any case, I know that I have to take advantage of all the time I can, because, in the end, there is only one mother. Therefore, this maternal bond is special and unrepeatable. It is not something that will last a lifetime, so it is very important to encourage and appreciate it. I also had a very special relationship with my father.

Are there any topics that are particularly violent to you today?

I heard Marian Rojas say that she had gotten many women out of prostitution. A producer came, Marian didn’t want to meet with him, but he scolded him for making so many girls leave her circle.

She told him that these girls wanted to go out, that it was their job to help people be better. She asked him: ‘Are you proud of what you do?’ He replied that she had just created an algorithm that made the second advertisement that appeared to 11-year-old children to be pornographic. There she already hooked them. Marian was horrified by this information.

This does worry me. The porn industry destroys the relationships that women can have with a man. In reality, they are not based at all on violence and the type of fantasy that is seen in those videos. If a child starts seeing it, he will think that that is normal and it is not.

In what sense would you like to be a role model for girls? What message would you like to convey?

The message I can leave you is to trust in Jesus. It’s what has changed my life, feeling loved unconditionally. Human love is limited, while divine love is supernatural and unconditional. When you protect yourself like this… Divine Providence takes care of you.

What project awaits you?

I participate in Got Talent, I start this Friday. I feel like it a lot. I love the team. I like the human factor and the Show So I think I’m going to have a great time.
